Saturday was a very interesting day. I started my morning taking the Superintendent's Test. To be honest, I was glad to get that over with and return to class. I enjoyed the presentations that were given. I think everyone did a great job or reinforcing what we learned ourselves from reading the book. It was also interesting to hear these presentations as we were in the middle of our negotiation simulations. The presentations were a great reinforcer for such things as table behavior and table strategies.
Tom's presentation was very interesting. I enjoyed how he asked for questions at the beginning and delivered his presentation off of every one's questions. Tom's introduction of the Weingarten Rights was terminology that was news to me. It was nice hearing information in reference to the IFT.
I struggled with the negotiation simulation activity today. It seems that our group wasn't as prepared as much as they should of been. I guess I was at fault b/c I was not there in the morning. I was somewhat baffled about learning that I was blamed for our group's unpreparedness as I was sitting with some classmates at lunch. This concerned me b/c of all the time I had put into recording and typing up proposals and counters for the group. I guess that is a lesson to learn in the future to make sure that you are prepared. Maybe this bothered me because I feel I am an organized person. All in all, things got done as they always do and the sun came up on Sunday morning.
