It was definitely more lively once we started the interactive exercises in Interest Based bargaining. I do have a better understanding of what this type of bargaining involves. As we were talking about this process, I was thinking about the research articles that I have found about this topic. I like the idea of a shared decision making process. The information presented in class today allowed me to get a clearer picture of the process and why it would be used in negotiations.
I would be interested to know how many districts in Illinois actually use this type of bargaining. Where might I find that information?
