Blog Number 2.....

First of all, I just want to start out by saying that I wish I had the free time that some of you have during the school day to do your Western assignments while school is in session such as two of you did today. Just kidding and giving you guys a hard time. I am just jealous.....

Anyway, Sunday was an interesting day. I enjoyed the two presentations as well as the simulation activities. I felt somewhat overwhelmed in my role as a recorder since we stated in our ground rules that we would have every proposal and counter proposal in writing. I have learned that I would never ever be able to work as a recorder or court reporter with my typing skills or lack thereof. Like someone else said, I did learn that the negotiation process is and can be hectic and time consuming. I have learned lots of information already form the time spent at the negotiation table.

I also agree with Todd's suggestion of having Jerry speak at one of the last class meetings or at the completion of the negotiation simulation. I think Todd made a good point.

Laurie and Sue's presentation was great. I also enjoyed the goodie bad. They had tons of valuable information, not to mention the snacks kept me awake driving home. See you next time.
