Negotiation meeting number two

I have found out that negotiations are not as easy as they look. When we thought that the recommendations that we were making made sense and that the suggestions would be easy changes the other side did not always see it this way. When this happens it is hard to not take these things personally. I felt that they were attacking me and my personal thoughts. I am sure that this is what the other side felt when they brought their recommendations to us and we decided that we did not like all of their ideas. It is also hard to put away the administrative coat for this activity. I am on the teacher side and I am sometimes in agreement with the board side of the language of the contract.
