All bargaining is interest based bargaining, because both sides come in with their wants/needs and hopefully in a reasonable amount of time you meet somewhere in the middle. The interest based bargaining method allows both sides (if they come in with the mindset and training) to civilly come to the table, and hopefully avoid the us versus them mentality that occurs with traditional bargaining. As we learned today though even with training, people may come to the table trained in I.B.B., but not willing to follow its true form.
The last group scenario was interesting, because automatically people came up with ways to "fix" the issue. By truly looking at what both sides interests were we could come to a "common ground" option that suited both parties. So often in decisions we make we "fix" it without figuring out what led to the issue. By looking critically at an issue we can hopefully create change that all parties benefit from.
