1st Sunday Blog
Day 2 began the negation process. I went in thinking that the process would go relatively smoothly, and the other team came into the process with a very aggressive attitude. We quickly learned that it was important to have good notes. We had disagreements about whether or not our bargaining sessions would be recorded. One interesting point that was raised was whether or not we would allow wireless devises to be active during the negotiation sessions. The use of wireless devices during the process could instantly alter how the two sides view information and make decisions. With the new age of technology, both sides have immediate access to information. Ultimately, we were able to agree on a set of ground rules, but one can really see how just agreeing on the ground rules can set the tone for the rest of the bargaining process.
