What I like about this class is that the day seems to fly by. The guest speaker was very interesting and straight-forward. I appreciate him telling it like it is -- sharing his perspective while still being respective of the other side. It would have been interesting to hear from a school he represented (both sides).
It seems like both negotiation teams are getting more comfortable and more "professional" through the simulation process. There is a lot of learning taking place here. Our teams have developed a strong rapport individually and collectively. Everyone has been an active part of this experience.
I also appreciate Dr. Closen's real-life interjections and suggestions. He makes thinking about the collective bargaining process of the superintendent's job a lot less stressful.
