Simulation
Setting the ground rules for the negotiations was definitely an interesting experience. This is truly when the game begins. It is not just about setting simple rules of conduct and where we will be meeting. It is the first move of a chess game. I am sure that it is different if you already have a relationship with the people that you are negotiating with. However, for our simulation it was time to set not only the ground rules but the tone of the meetings. They say that first impressions are important. There may be an issue that comes up that you do not want to give in because it could show weakness, but at the same time there may be an issue that you give in to just to show compromise or so that you can say "they" owe you one later on during the negotiations. I am looking forward to moving forward with the simulation and continuing the chess game.
